So the new Toyota Prius does 72.4 mpg ????

In the European Union, passenger vehicles are commonly tested using two drive cycles, and corresponding fuel economies are reported as 'urban' and 'extra-urban', in litres per 100 km and (in the UK) in miles per imperial gallon.

In the European Union advertising has to show Carbon dioxide (CO2)-emission and fuel consumption data in a clear way as described in the UK Statutory Instrument 2004 No 1661.

Want a good economic car?? Buy one from Europe, by law they have to do at least 35mpg.

This will be one of the few posts I will ever publish on politics. I'm sick to death of ALL politicians .... period.

You think things will change by substituting one wealthy politician for another??? While people keep putting the rich in power, the poor will ALWAYS suffer.

Total - $206,283,204 just in contributions alone. Want a change?? Put a poor person in power.

Ides of March

From Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, 1601. 'Beware the Ides of March' is the soothsayer's message to Julius Caesar, warning of his death.

The Ides of March didn't signify anything special in itself - this was just the usual way of saying "March 15th." Each month has an Ides (usually the 15th) and this date wasn't significant in being associated with death.

Months of the Roman calendar were arranged around three named days and these were reference points from which the other (unnamed) days were calculated:

Kalends (1st day of the month).
Nones (the 7th day in March, May, July, and October; the 5th in the other months).
Ides (the 15th day in March, May, July, and October; the 13th in the other months).
